Things you need to know Do I need a fishing
license? ·
The purchase of a
California State Fishing License is required for all anglers 16
years of age and older, when fishing in US waters. California requires
that an angler "wear" the fishing license on the outside of
his or her clothing while fishing. ·
Mexican License: Required
for all anglers while in Mexican waters. Some Charter Boat trips include
the Mexican Sport fishing License and some don't, so be sure to ask.
There are also different permits required for a private boaters
and anglers planning to fish within Mexico. ·

1 Day License - $7.10 ·
Annual Saltwater - $20.50 ·
Annual Salt / Fresh Water Combination- $33.10 ·
Charter Boats can sell permits ranging from a one
day outing at a cost of about $15 dollars to 5 permits costing $60 or
$70 dollars. These rates
are subject to change so call in advance. ·
Private License are available in two time frames
